Life in Tonga
Life in Tonga is very relaxed. We worked hard in our plantations for the food we eat and also the women especially spend a lot of time making craft, either to sell in the market or to give as gifts as the occasion arrives. My mother makes a cloth called tapa which is made from the bark of the paper mulberry tree. She pounds the strips of bark until the they are very this then glues them together, when the cloth is completed it is layed in the sun then painted with naturally made paint.also made with a substance from the same tree, the sap.
